What is Blanching?

Blanching is the process of removing the skin using boiling water. Almonds are submerged in hot water and steam is used to agitate and flake off the skin for about 2 minutes. The almonds are then passed over rollers to remove any skin that hasn't already come off, and are finally ground for use in baking and cooking. No chemicals or other food is added, it's perfectly natural!

What is Almond Meal?

Almond meal is similar to almond flour, except that the almonds are ground with the skin still attached. The end product has a slightly higher fiber content and cooks a little different, but is essentially the same.

 Can I Use Almond Flour as a Breading?

Yes! You can bread meat, poultry and fish with Almond Flour.

How Should I Store Almond Flour?

Almond Flour should be stored in the fridge up to 4 weeks due to the high moisture and fat content. If being stored for longer than 4 weeks, we recommend storing it in the freezer and allowing it to thaw before using.
