Walnuts have one of the most buttery flavours of all nuts, firmly protected behind a hard shell. These walnuts are de-shelled, saving you time and effort (and possibly pinched fingers) and letting you enjoy premium walnuts at your convenience.
Heart Healthy. Walnuts are high in mono and poly-unsaturated fats, and low in saturated fat. This makes them a great source of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Just an ounce and a half of walnuts will fulfill your recommended daily intake of Omega-3s. Walnuts are one of the few treenuts that contain high amounts of healthy polyunsaturated fats.
Balanced Macronutrients. Walnuts contain high amounts of fiber and protein and can actually lower cholesterol. The New England Journal of Medicine published a study in 1993 from Loma Linda University showing that eating walnuts instead of foods high in saturated fat lowered LDL levels by over 16%.
